Admin staff
Meet the admin staff who make the SRC run like clockwork.
Deputy Manager: Gina Connor
Gina ensures the smooth running of the SRC general administration, financial administration and Information Services within the organisation. The Second-Hand Bookshop, and vending machines are all the other services that Gina looks after on a day to day basis. Gina is responsible for managing and preparing the SRC monthly and annual accounts and provides advice and support to the Executive and the Permanent Secretary on short and long term financial planning.
Gina is also the person to contact regarding any repairs or accidents within the building.
Finance & Support Services Administrators: Paul Swinton & Anne-Marie Connor
The Finance & Support Services Administrators work as part of the General Office staff, they are responsible for the day-to-day financial processes in the office. They help council members with financial processing (e.g. purchase orders, cheque requisitions, petty cash and invoicing). They also work closely with the Deputy Manager in preparing the month end reports and Bookshop administration.
Paul also attends and minutes Council meetings. Both Paul and Anne-Marie make up the wider Senior Admin team who support most day-to-day functioning of the office.
Personal Assistant to the Permanent Secretary: Louise Cameron
Day to day duties involve providing ongoing PA and administrative support to the four Sabbatical Officers’, the Permanent Secretary and the members of the SRC Council such as committee and working group support. They would also assist the Sabbs to manage SRC events such as Council Dinner, VCS and the STA awards. They would be first point of contact for members of Council and the Exec. They collate and distribute any paperwork relating to Council and Exec meetings. They also provide administrative support to Class Rep training.
Senior Support Services Administrator: Markee Rambo-Hood
Markee works closely supplying admin support to Class Rep Training, GU Volunteering and Clubs & Societies. Markee also co-ordinates, on behalf of Gina, the admin work carried out between Reception and Welcome Point staff. Markee also looks after SRC elections with the support of the rest of the senior admin team.
Markee also works as one of our Class Rep Trainers and takes a leading role in securing events for the Gilchrist Postgraduate Club.
Administrators: Hollie, Rachael, Michael, Kit, Lindsay, Mitchell, and Eleanor
The first point of contact for all telephone, email and in-person enquiries, our admin staff work at the Welcome Point and in the Second-Hand Bookshop. They will be happy to help with photocopying, faxing and binding enquiries as well as taking room bookings, minibus hire bookings and sourcing campus information for any enquiries they will deal with daily on students’ behalf.
The staff will also be happy to help with enquiries on how to use our Second-Hand Bookshop Service, explaining the workings of our online database where students can browse stock and check if their books are sold. We also offer an email and reserve service, which they will also be happy to explain.
