If the SRC wish to consider why they have difficulty in engaging with the student body and encouraging the student body to take an interest in the SRC, they might review their communications strategy. Top of the list should be ensuring that, after an election, the student body are notified of the result by email/ Facebook/Twitter etc. Posting it on the SRC webpage under news is not an effective way of communicating with your audience.

We are pleased to inform that we also posted on the SRC and the Gilchrist Postgraduate Club social media channels with the results but we will take your suggestion of email on board to consider using for future elections.
