In the spirit of International Students Day the SRC along with different clubs and societies have organised events to celebrate our international student community.

The SRC would like to invite you for a chilled pub quiz/bingo night as we celebrate everything international. There will be 2x £20 Amazon vouchers up for grabs to the winning team so invite your friends and test your knowledge on various topics. There will also be an ‘International Bingo’ round which is a twist to the traditional bingo. |
19th November | South Asian Society | Dear Zindagi film screening

This event will be around raising awareness about mental health in South Asian cultures as there is a large stigma against it. Dear Zindagi is a 2016 Indian movie about a cinematographer named Kaira, who is discontented with her life and meets Dr. Jehangir, a free-spirited psychologist who helps her to gain a new perspective on her life.This is a free event and we welcome everyone to come and join us in watching this movie and sign up to our society |

Do you know what a Burns Supper is? Have you ever heard of Guy Fawkes?
International Student Advisers will give a presentation to take you through the festivals and traditions celebrated in Scotland and the UK throughout the year – students will be able to see and hear a bit of Scottish culture. |
22nd November | Gilchrist Postgraduate Club | Thanksgiving with Dinner and JazzCo Live Music Night

Come and celebrate Thanksgiving at the Gilchrist PG club. This event is open to all students whether you are from Canada or the US and want to celebrate your national holiday, or are from a different country and just want to gather with friends (or make new ones!) and share in food and giving thanks.
This event will include food, thoughts on giving and sharing, and actives and games to get you in the spirit of the holiday. It will also feature our live band JazzCo, who will be playing American Jazz songs. We will be serving a traditional Turkey supper (veggie options are also available). Ticket Price – £7 |
